My daughters begged and begged to see the King Tut exhibit at the Pacific Science Center in Seattle. The exhibit only lasts until the end of the year and then it heads back to Egypt.
I was a bit hesitant, because it was expensive. They convinced me in the end though and I’m really glad we went.
My only gripe is that the actual King Tut sarcophagus – you know, the blue and gold image of King Tut – was not included in the exhibit. That would be fine, except for the fact that it’s the image on the advertising, but not actually there.

Enjoyed the pictures. I visited the King Tut Exhibit at the Seattle Science Center when it came through in the late 1970s. It would be fun to visit again.
You and your family might be interested in knowing about a book of activities for students called Tutankhamun: Time Capsule. It explains things like how hieroglyphics were decoded, how Tut’s tomb was found the day of the discovery, and has many fun projects to learn more about the boy king.
It was written by three educators in the Puget Sound area,(I am one of them) and is now available from Amazon, on Nook and Kindle, and as a CD.
Let me know if you have any comments or would like to meet and have the book hand-delivered! My number is 206-367-8058.
