Our Travels: The Gum Wall

You’re either going to totally love this post, or think that it’s absolutely disgusting.

Did you know that there is a wall full of chewed gum right next to Pike Place Market?

We passed this light on the way to Post Alley, where the gum wall is.  How artsy. I love it.

Yes, this is all chewed up gum.  These people found some exciting colors.  I bet you could make a lot of money if you had a gum shop at the market.:)Ellie just had to add her own wad of gum to the wall.  What a face.

What do you think – really cool or really gross?

The gum wall is very close to Pike Place Market. If you go down the ramp instead of entering the main entrance (where the fish flying is), it is to the left of the flying fish, down Post Alley. It was gross, but fascinating at the same time.

I never saw this when I was at Pike’s Place…but my husband and I did see a gum wall at Niagara Falls. It isn’t at the falls themselves, but further downstream. A very unique thing to photograph!

Okaaaay. I don’t remember ever seeing the Gum Wall. We will have to look for it next time we’re down there. So parts of it are artsy but most of it seems just grrrross.
