Every year, I have a list of things I’d like the kids to memorize. Some of it is {of course} dependent on their ages. Not all of my children are memorizing all of these. Many of the items on the list are simply a review from previous years – refreshing their memories.

I consider the poem memorized when they can recite it in front of the camera. I won’t necessarily post it {they are camera shy}, but it’s nice that they can watch themselves recite it and improve.
