Our Travels: Mahaffie Stagecoach Stop and Farm

I went to Mahaffie Stagecoach Stop and Farm to take some pictures of my husband’s cousin and his family. There were some lovely backdrops for photos, but the weather was not cooperating with us.  It was cold and windy.  The kids were freezing and everyone’s hair was  blowing in different directions.

I think I managed to get a few decent pictures, and we got to visit the grounds of this small museum and farm.

Here is the house (which you can’t go inside).

There is a nice, new building at the front of the park, with a small kid-friendly museum in it.  Here is Tori, giving her 1800s grumpy face. :)And here she is, trying on clothes. There were some animals outside and during the warmer months you can actually take a ride on the stagecoach and see people in period costume doing demonstrations.  We will definitely try to go back another time when the weather is better and the stagecoach is running.:)
