Week 2
This was a fun week, because we studied some exciting topics – a natural disaster and a man-made disaster. Let’s face it -disasters are interesting.
Topics Studied: Roosevelt’s Second Term, Taft, The Titanic, Panama Canal, San Francisco Earthquake, Russo-Japanese War
Materials Used:
Artists/Composers: Matisse & Gustav Mahler
Science: Mercury
Memo: “Whole Duty of Children”, The Pledge of Allegiance, and the Presidents up to Taft (well, they’re working on it….)
Math: The kids are zooming through their math lessons with Teaching Textbooks. I really think that Nick will finish early and start level 4 before the end of the year.
Sounds like you had a good week. We’re just finishing up week five. The move and my illness really pushed us back, but that’s okay we can definitely make it up!

We’ve actually on Week 7 right now, I’m just way behind on posting about it!! We are pushed back further than we want too, but we’re going to be working through most of December to get caught up. I hope you have a great weekend also!!
