Meet the Troops

Ellie is 12.  She is artistic, helpful, and graceful.  She is seldom seen without a book in her hand and she leaves a trail of them behind her wherever she goes.  She loves art and wants to be a fashion designer when she grows up.  She is very helpful around the house with her younger siblings, even if she doesn’t always like it.  She is doing 8th grade this year.

Kate is 9.  She is sensitive, caring, and fun.  She is currently very interested in learning to sew.  She likes to draw and swim. She is very energetic and likes to move around. Her strongest subject is math – which she tends to do in her head instead of on paper.  Kate is very into dragons right now – drawing them, reading about them etc. She is doing 5th grade this year.

Lexie is 7.  She is super sweet and extremely talkative. She is very musical and is learning to play the piano.  When we’re driving around town, she is always singing along with the radio.  She’s a great big sister and loves to keep Tori happy and busy.  She is in 3rd grade.

Nick is 5 and a typical boy.  He loves superheroes and anything that moves. He can usually be found in his bedroom, building something out of Legos.  He’s been easing into schoolwork with us.   He likes counting and adding and reading short books out loud.  He will be doing K/1st grade this year.

Tori Rose is 3.  She is usually getting into something while we’re working on schoolwork.  Keeping her out of trouble is a full time job. She loves to ride her tricycle, color, dance, sing, jump on my bed, and be included in whatever we’re doing.  She is becoming quite the independent little girl.

Hello! I’ve been following your blog for some time now (Clicked on from somewhere else, but I forgot where! :-) ) and love hearing about your adventures! Your kids are adorable and you sound so strong for homeschooling them and being an Army wife. I was Marine Corps intelligence and worked with a lot of the linguists, and it caught my attention that you were a linguist! Just figured I’d let you know you had a blog stalker in Texas! Enjoy your move and I can’t wait to see the pictures from it!!!

Thanks Mallie! I will definitely have a lot of pictures from the move. I’m sure that my husband is going to be sick of stopping for my photo ops. :)
